December 2nd-8th is National Hand Washing Awareness Week. It’s that time of the year where you get the sniffles and flu, so from preventing that here is a list of ways to keep your hands and your little one’s germs free.
Wash your hands when they are dirty and always before eating.
Always wash your hand in warm water and use antibacterial soap, as this will help get rid of the dirt and bacteria.
Rub your hands with soap for a minimum of 15 seconds or sing the “Happy Birthday Song” (this is what I tell my kids to do every time).
After washing your hands, use your towel to turn off the faucet.
After washing your hands, dry your hands completely, if hands remain wet, there are higher chances of germs reoccurring again.
Hand washing is washing away germs, not killing them.
Supervise your little one while they wash their hands.
If a sink is not available to wash your hands make sure to use anti-bacterial hand sanitizer.
Washing your hands throughout the day helps keep germs away.
