the only bottle my baby would use

When I was weaning my little one from breastfeeding, I not only had the challenge of an “addicted” to breastfeeding toddler, but he just hated every type of bottle.

My little girl was fine with Tommee Tippee and Life Factory glass bottles, but he refused. I tried the Avent, Dr. Brown’s, Medela, Lansinoh and a whole bunch of others. And after shelling out a lot of cash, I decided to try one more bottle and see. So I Googled away and came across the Comotomo bottle.

It looked completely different from other bottle, but I decided to give it try. What did I have to lose except adding another one to the “no” pile I had accumulated?

To my surprise…turns out…he was into it.

I was able to stop scheduling all my work meetings and tasks around his feedings and even events at night were not as stressful for us because we knew he would drink the pumped milk I left at home.

And so when I weaned him completely last month, I invested in another one! The price point of this bottle is not too high but they are not on the cheap side either. Each bottle is about $12-13 bucks but in my case, I felt it was totally worth it!

I love that they are Phthalate Free, Latex Free, Lead Free, BPA Free. The material is super soft and squeezable. I think that’s what he liked about it the most, that the bottle actually feels like skin. The nipples are really perfect too- they say they are “naturally shaped, soft, silicone nipples are ideal for babies who have trouble transitioning from nursing to bottle-feeding.”

Plus they are wide neck so cleaning is cinch. It says it is microwave safe but I have never tried it in there and also dishwasher safe, which I have seen it is. And they write that they bottles are equipped with innovative vents that are smartly designed to prevent colic, while completely eliminating annoying leaks. And yes, I can say I have not had any leaks. If you are in the same boat as I was and your baby refuses the bottle…definitely gives these babies a whirl-no pun intended 😉

I feel like they are truly one of the most thoughtful bottles out there. (and I am no in way affiliated with Comotomo)

We will be transitioning my little one soon to the straw cup he drinks water out of, but I am definitely loving these bottles as much as my little guy does right now.

p.s. I am thinking of trying their teether too since he’s cutting some molars right now…stay tuned!
