Books That Will Make You Stop and Think About the World That We Live In
There will always be some books that will leave you in a book hangover after you’ve finished. You start to question the world that you live in. Questions like: do things like this really happen in the real world today? Are there people struggling like this? Can the world really be a place like it was in the book?
In our everyday lives, our problems pertain to grocery runs, family drama, work deadlines, and coffee orders. Reading one of these books always makes me stop and think before I complain about anything in life. That slight pause may not last forever, but it does make me consider the alternatives. Should I really be complaining about having to go to Trader Joe’s after work when there are people in the world that ration out their government aid?
Each one of these books has left me feeling educated, overwhelmed with emotion, and questioning our world today. From the courage that the womxn protagonist exhibit to the alternative universe where womxn dominate, these books will inspire you to have a conversation with someone. It may not be along the lines of what you’re used to, but you really should take the time to read one of these. Let it inspire you and see where the stories take you!
