There are many moms out there who are diligent about getting professional facials bi-weekly and take utmost care of their skin. I do not fall into that category. While I definitely cleanse and moisturize, I don’t have many other skin rituals. Occasionally, I spritz some rose spray on my face. If I remember to, I’ll dab on eye cream. But other than that, all I am regular about is washing my face morning and night, (removing any eye makeup if I wore it that day), and moisturizing my more on the dry side skin every day. I have pretty normal skin, not acne prone or red, but if it’s getting too dry or oily, I switch up my cleanser or face cream/oil plus eat healthy. When I don’t eat healthy I feel it inside and out. I also practice yoga and feel that that inner peace gives my outer skin a little boost;)
The one indulgence I give my skin is when I am going on a trip or an event, I’ll think of using a face mask a day or two before. I was recently gifted this Elucx Argile Rose Pink Clay Botanical Facial Mask in a birthday present and it was fun to get something I normally would never buy myself.
The thing that got me to use it?
I love rose in my beauty products. I use a rose mist, rosebud lip salve, have some rose body soap, and sometimes use rose essential oil as perfume. I even splurged on (but recently finished) some delicious rose perfume by Jo Malone once (NOT like your grandma’s fragrance). Beauty experts also say that rose helps the skin’s ph balance so that’s a bonus to my rose obsession.
What’s also up my alley about this clay is that it is…..well earthy. It’s clay. And since I’m an organic momma, this was perfect. The Elucx Argile Rose Pink Clay Botanical Facial Mask has ONLY 4 ingredients:
Yes. That’s it. No fillers or weird things I can’t read. I don’t use products with many chemicals or preservatives and a motto I follow by Ayurvedic skin expert Dr. Pratima Raichur, ““If you cannot eat it, do not use it on your skin.”
Okay and this mask is also French and well…I’m a sucker for things c’est francais 😉 At $25 it is pricier than some out there but for the quality and since you only use a tiny amount per use, it goes a long way. Plus it is apparently the mildest type of clay mask out there.
