spring 2017 essentials: part two

April 20, 2017 By Neesha Leave a Comment

So not sure if you all got to read our Spring 2017 Essentials Part Two post but it was the kick off to our little spring mini series.  Shraddha talked about some great fashion and products that work with her momma lifestyle.  The best part about this mini series is that we are ALL mommas but yet so different when it comes to our lifestyle so it’s cool to see all the different ways you can spruce up your spring wardrobe!

So what am I loving right now?  Totally into comfy jeans, dresses and basic tops with cute shoes.  My style is more classic with fun little accents on shirts and jeans to jazz it up a bit.  Check out my 3 new favorite shirts in my spring collection.

Starting from left to right….totally love this Banana Republic blue satin shirt.  It can go with jeans, skirts and even shorts.  The color is so bright that it can make any outfit pop!  Next is my BCBG nude vest! Love the lace on the sides to give it a little flare.  Again this can be worn with pretty much anything and dressed up or down.  In the winter you can totally throw a long sleeve shirt underneath.  The last one is a casual black floral off the shoulder top.  Off the shoulder shirts are hard for me to find to fit my body type but this one is adjustable and cropped enough to not show my entire stomach!  It’s a great find from Nordstrom.

Now bottoms!  Pumps or wedges, cute jeans and a t-shirt is def my way to roll these days!   I live in my basic navy blue t-shirt and always pair it with any of the pants below.  The blue printed jeans are from Custo.  The jeans are a total casual fit, ripped at the bottom and cropped.  These are Jolt Jeans from Nordstrom.  My FAVORITE lounge pants…Express pants.  The beige ones below are sytlish yet comfy and soft as any pants can get.  Throw a leather jacket and some boots and you have a fall outfit too.

I am totally a dresses person.  I love wearing fun yet very simple dresses and making them pop with either shoes or a bag.  My go to weekend brunch outfit, the blue floral Nordstrom romper below.  Wear it with wedges and a cute bracelet and you have a super cute outfit.  My Banana Republic mid length black dress is my all year round go to.  In the spring you can put it with flat sandals and a simple pair of earrings.  Throw your hair in a pony and you just dressed it down.  The third dress is my cozy dress!  It’s a BCBG purchase that can be used in the winter or summer.  It’s way casual but the pockets on the bottom totally make the dress.

Bathing Suit time is coming and it was a transition to find two pieces after having my little ones 🙂  Trink Turk is my absolute go to for bikinis.  They colors are so vibrant but the coverage is still great.  I pair my purple bathing suit with my royal blue sheer cover up and throw some gold flats on.

I LOVE SHOES 🙂  I am not really a flip flop person so I try to go with wedges or classier flats on a day to day basis.  My three go to shoes are my Madden Girl Brown Wedges…plus they make me look taller.  My gold Gucci flats that can be used for dressing up or even a pair of white shorts and a t-shirt and my gold Badgley Mischka wedges that pair great with dresses.

Costume jewelry is really not my thing.  I prefer to wear simple studs and thin bracelets.  Love the Ani & Alex silver charmed bracelets for everyday use and also my light pink studs.  On a regular basis I just go with my diamond round studs.

Right now I am loving my pink BCBG Tote.  This thing is easily accessible to get those keys you lose EVERYTIME you need to drive your car.  It is super light weight.

Products wise I am also pretty simple.  My favorite sunscreen is the Anthelios 60.  We use it for the whole family and it goes on so smooth.  My It’s a 10 leave in conditioner is a must with my light highlights for the spring.  If I need to run out the door, I just spray my Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Sea Salt Texturing Spray.  It leaves your hair smelling and looking like you spent the day at the beach.  To add some more texture to my hair when I wanna curl it or dry it a bit, I go for my Living Proof Perfect Hair Day styling treatment.  My hands get so so dry, so my fellow Chaimomma actually bought me the Josie Maran Whipped Argon Oil cream.  This stuff is a must have!  It goes on smooth and not oily.  For the lips I usually stick with two things in my daytime routine.  My Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment as my chapstick then top it off with Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Break Away Lipstick.
