If you missed it last month, let me remind you about the series of informative short videos we are sharing from Kids in the House – a terrific parenting resource created by mom of three, Leana Greene.  Kids in the House is an educational website about parenting whose objective is to help parents become better at parenting by educating, inspiring and entertaining. Their videos feature interviews with top experts in parenting, including physicians, psychologists, researchers, educators amongst many other professionals. The goal of Kids in the House is give parents everywhere access to quality advice in a quick and easy way and to create a resource where parents could also share their wisdom to raise the consciousness of parenting.

Today’s video comes from mom of two and clinical psychologist School, Dr. Laura Markham.  Dr. Markham is the author of Peaceful Parent, Happy KidsHow to Stop Yelling and Start Connecting. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University and has worked as a parenting coach with countless parents across the English-speaking world. You can find Dr. Laura online at AhaParenting.com, where you can also sign up for her free daily inspiration emails.

In today’s short video, Dr. Markham shares a few simple tips on how to effectively stop the cycle of yelling at your children for behavior that frustrates you, something many parents want to end but sometimes feel as though they just can’t.
